Shambhala Music Festival

It can be hard to put certain things into words, and this is one of them, so I’m going to try to keep my words minimal to avoid passionate rambling. Although only a week long, being here the last couple years has been truly transformative and beautiful. The festival itself pulled me by invisible strings into it’s arms before I’d even heard much about it, a universal attraction that is the result of such a buzzing entity of one-ness. I’ve met some of the most amazing people here, experienced life changing events, beautiful moments, and been part of a life-form full of positive energy, love and peace. Unity amongst thousands of strangers brought together by music, art, dance and the cosmic bindings that hold us all together. Freed from the confines of what has become the ‘reality’ we live in, one can transcend the physical body, boundaries of thought, and focus all that precious energy to create something amazing.  It also helps that it is held in one of the most stunning valleys in BC where living rivers flow and lush mountains encircle. I hope you enjoy these photos, a little glimpse into the magic! See you next year!

  1. Very well written Jessie! You described the experience perfectly. I wish you were with me when I was in Thailand, we could’ve found the island together and made that monkey our baby 😦 😦 😦 😦 I’ll never let go, see you on shutter island. Heading to Cape Town first to meet up with some of my military contacts (I’m the king of the world).

  2. wow – Shambhala – i am jealous!! 🙂
